Acclaimed stand-up Abi Roberts returns to the Guildford Fringe Festival, with two 9pm shows at The Star Inn on 10-11 July, after selling out at last year’s Festival.

Abi, rated as one the UK’s best up-and-coming comics, will present her new show, Downtown Abi, which includes tales of Welsh debauchery, the perils of singing karaoke in Moscow, and an incident with Jeremy Clarkson in Harrods!

Not Dead Yet

Award-winning comedian Lynn Ruth Miller, 80, who started her stand-up career aged 71, presents her new show, Not Dead Yet, at 9pm on 4 July, while James Alderson presents The Hunger James, a show about the perils of middle age, on 5 July.

Also appearing at The Star Inn, on 16 July, is Aidan Goatley’s 10 Films with My Dad, a hilarious show that has sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the last four years.

There’s also cheeky nudity in store thanks to Miss Glory Pearl, who brings her show, The Naked Stand-Up, which examines body issues and beauty in the 21st century, to the Star Inn on 17 July.

Other comedy highlights in the 2015 Fringe Festival include absurdist laughs with Karl Sparx’s show, A kick in the Vortex, at the Star Inn on 18 July; the child-friendly Comedy Club for Kids at the G Live Bellerby Studio on 25 July; and Radio 4 stars Jonny and the Baptists at the Star Inn on 25 July.

‘We have a great line-up of comedy at this year’s Festival.’ says Nick Wyschna, the director of the 2015 Guildford Fringe Festival. ‘I’m really looking forward to seeing Abi Roberts again and Aidan Goatley has had amazing success in Edinburgh, but we have so many other great acts that it’s difficult to pick out a highlight!’

Guildford Fringe Festival runs from 1-26 July across Guildford town centre. Click HERE for the full schedule and more details.
