Free Fringe taster for White Lion Walk shoppers

Shoppers at White Lion Walk Shopping Centre in Guildford are in for a treat this July as the Centre has teamed up with Guildford’s Fringe Festival to host a variety of free entertainment.

The partnership is part of White Lion Walk’s ongoing commitment to support local businesses and the arts community. The Centre has provided Guildford’s Fringe Festival with a free unit to enable the ever-growing festival to open their first ever physical box office venue in the town centre.

The Festival box office will also be a hive of activities for all the family. It will be acting as a fantastic facility to host the work of some Surrey artists and photographers. All the work on display will be available to buy with a percentage of sales being donated to Challengers Charity, a cause both White Lion Walk and Guildford Fringe Festival are extremely proud to support. Challengers deliver inclusive play and leisure services for disabled children and young people across Surrey, Hampshire and increasingly the surrounding area.

Furthermore, acts from the Fringe Festival will also be providing free entertainment for shoppers every Saturday throughout July. Although ever growing and subject to change the current line-up includes:

Saturday 2 July

  • Darragh Chaplin – Singer/Songwriter – 2pm-4pm
