Rock Choir take to the streets of Guildford to celebrate 10 years!

This year we celebrate the ten year anniversary of Guildford Rock Choir, and as part of our celebrations, on 9^th July, we are holding a fun day of singing in and around Guildford town centre for the Fringe Festival.

Rock Choir members from all over the region will be performing a selection of fun, uplifting songs such as Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’ to Bon Jovi’s ‘Living On A Prayer’.

Rock Choir leader, Tom George said “We are proud to be supporting the fringe festival again this year, providing everyone from Guildford an opportunity to watch us perform throughout the morning and afternoon. Our performance will start at 11am so do come along to see us and join in the fun”.

Guildford was one of the very first towns for members of the community to get together each week to attend fun, friendly rehearsals. They are taught specially arranged pop, rock and chart songs. Rock Choir is now the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with in excess of 23,000 members in over 320 local communities. There are no auditions and no requirements to read music or have any previous singing experience. There are lots of exciting performances throughout the year and many of them help raise money for charity.
