Bar Des Arts are absolutely thrilled to be one of the venues involved in this year’s Guildford Fringe Festival and will be hosting a variety of theatre, cabaret and music events as part of the festival on July 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23.
They’ll be kicking things off with a free CafeSci presentation on Wednesday, July 8 from 7.30pm. You’ll learn about one of the most important and widely used techniques in analytical science and how it used in ways that directly affect our lives.
Dr Anthony Bristow will host the session and will take part in a question and answer session afterwards.
On Thursday, July 9 from 7.30pm they will have ladies acapella group, Guildford Harmony, impressing us with their inspiring vocal workshops. You are welcome to come along and give singing a go and the group will also put on a few performances from their repertoire. Tickets for this event cost £10 per person and £8 for concessions.
Bar Des Arts will also host Topsie Redfern’s drag show on Wednesday, July 15 from 8pm. Drag artist Nathan Kiley will take to the stage as Topsie and perform a variety of classic tunes and original tracks.
On Thursday, July 16 Ilusion Flamenca will be performing from from 8pm. The show will involve performances of various routines showcasing the traditional gypsy rhythms and Andalusian folklore of flamenco dancing.

As if that wasn’t enough, on Wednesday, July 22 from 7.30pm they’ll have two authors from Goldenford Publishers presenting a unique musical event using recordings of music which have either influenced them or is described in their novels. Tickets will cost £8 and £6 for concessions.
Michael Bublé tribute artist, Albie J Smith, will be joining on Thursday, July 23 from 8pm to perform all of the Canadian crooners’ most well-known hits. Tickets will cost £10.
