Be informed, educated and entertained about the BBC’s first year…1923: Comedian/broadcast historian Paul Kerensa is your DJ-in-a-DJ, spinning century-old discs, rediscovering the first drama (written by the first TV chef!) and with audience help, re-enacting the Beeb’s first political debate (so controversial, the government banned them). It’s all true – from Reith’s romance to the Radio Times story, via one studio’s drunken launch. Are you sitting comfortably? Then we’ll begin.
