When over-enthusiastic Fustian House Tour Guide, Lettice, meets Prim Bureaucracy head on, an unlikely friendship blossoms. Lettice’s watchword – ‘Enlarge! Enliven! Enlighten!’ – leads to startling results; while her antagonist, Lotte, complains ‘If one embraces the ridiculous – one ends up becoming ridiculous’.

Peter Shaffer’s masterly and colourful comedy makes for cracking entertainment, brought to you by The Herald Players in the idyllic setting of Clandon Wood.
