Guildford Fringe Festival are over the moon to announce that Charlotte Jaconelli will be performing on the Guildford Fringe Stage at National Armed Forces Day on Stoke Park on 27 June during the afternoon.
British singing sensation, 19 year old Soprano, Charlotte Jaconelli, shot to fame on ‘Britains Got Talent’ as half of ‘Jonathan & Charlotte’, the duo that brought the judges & nation to their feet – and proved Simon Cowell wrong.
With over a quarter of a million albums sold, over 150 million hits on YouTube, sold-out venues all over the UK, an ITV documentary, and more, last year saw the pair take on the world as Solo artists, and Charlotte was ecstatic to be offered her 1st solo record contract by Sony Classical.
“We have such an incredible line-up of acts for everyone to enjoy on National Armed Forces Day” says Nick Wyschna, Director of Guildford Fringe. “To have a talent like Charlotte play on our stage is so exciting for us. All the acts that are playing on the Guildford Fringe Stage are volunteering at this event to say thank you to the Armed Forces and it has been an honour to programme the entertainment to show our thanks as well.”
With the very successful release of her debut solo album ‘SOLITAIRE’, Charlotte went on to perform and record with The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, and debut in her first professional Musical ‘She Loves Me’ at The Landor Theatre, for which she has been nominated for ‘Best Female’ at the Offie awards.
Over the last year this engaging young and driven artist has been going from strength to strength and seems set to become the voice of the new generation of female singers, following in the great British traditions of artists such as Katherine Jenkins and Sarah Brightman.
