Jemima Smallbones
Event Date:
June 24, 2023
Event Time:
3:00 pm
Event Location:
The Back Room of The Star Inn
40-something-year-old Jemima Smallbones lives at home with her husband (when he’s around) and talks openly in this monologue about the what if’s, maybe’s and why’s of her past. She reminisces over her younger years in her sharp, direct and perhaps even naive approach to how things have turned out for her. Lillian, her best friend, is on her way to help with the cleaning of Jemima’s house and while Jemima waits for her friend, she openly talks about her angles on life and as a middle-aged woman why she never got to be a lesbian. Think Shirley Valentine meets Birds of a Feather.
